Classic Bandana or Outfit Bandana? How to Choose for Your Dog or Cat
Two kinds of bandana
A classic bandana is a printed triangle of fabric, tied or snapped around the neck.
An outfit bandana is cut like clothing. A collar. A waistcoat. A bow tie. Buttons. It fastens with velcro and sits on the chest like a shirt front.
Every Momoji piece is the second kind. Some shops call this style a pet bib. We call it what it is: a bandana, tailored.

When a classic bandana is enough
Daily walks. The dog park. A simple print for the season.
Light, easy, nothing to think about.
When to choose an outfit bandana
- Weddings and birthdays
- Christmas cards and Lunar New Year photos
- Halloween, when you want the costume look without a full costume
- Pets who will not wear full clothing
It looks like an outfit. It wears like a bandana.
Three ways to wear it
Tailored
Tuxedos, waistcoats and tartan. Kingsway, Phillip and Queensway are the classics.
Everyday
Sailor stripes, denim and soft prints, for cafés and weekends.
Costume
Pilots, school uniforms, Halloween and Lunar New Year. The full costume look, fastened with velcro.
Finding the right size
Measure around the neck with a ribbon or string. Snug, not tight.
Most styles come in 8 sizes, XS to 4XL, from kittens and Chihuahuas to Samoyeds and Golden Retrievers. Tailored suit styles start from S.

The short version
Classic bandana for the walk. Outfit bandana for the photo.
